Voting for people experiencing homelessness
You don’t need to be housed or have a permanent address to vote. Executive Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and Admin Leads of the shelter, drop-in or other program you engage with are authorized to sign and vouch for service users.
Use this resource for unhoused people using homelessness services to be able to vote, created by Diana Chan McNally.
If you are supporting someone experiencing homelessness in voting, you must be authorized by Elections Ontario to 'vouch' for service users.
See What agencies need to do to get ready to help people to vote and the form you need to get authorized.
